Parent Body

The parent body of the school must be seriously committed to keeping the Torah and Mitzvos.

For the fathers this means:
Having at least one seder of learning per day, davening most t'fillos with a minyan.

For the mothers this means:
Dressing in accordance with halalcha - knees and hair completely and properly covered. All other areas are personal preference.

For the Home:
While Computers, internet and movies are allowed, careful consideration is given in the home to what adults and children watch. Internet should be carefully filtered and only children's movies, or movies designed for the religious community may be watched. Absolutely no TV or secular movies.

  1. Are you going to be hiring detectives to check up on the parents, or are you going to be doing the detective work yourself?

  2. No, while obviously the principal would interview each parent, it would be based on a trust system.

However, violators of the school's policy would have their children immediately removed from the school. No politics or "pull" would make a difference.

  3. You have the kernel of a nice idea here. However there's too much "reach" into the home. There are plenty of outstanding families in this community which may watch a family-oriented secular movie on occasion. Or where the father is working so hard to earn a parnasa and then helping with his kids that he may not be able to have a sedar EVERY day.

Your equivocation on Yom Haatzmaut and Army service doesn't sit well with me.

Try to be a little less "chareidi" in your mentality and you may have a winner. But as it stands I had to vote "no".
