Secular Studies

Secular studies, while secondary to Torah, are extremely important in order for our children to be able to function in today's global economy.

A full curriculum of secular studies for a minimum of four hours a day including, math, world history, science, English, computers and other subjects will all be taught in the English language. This will ensure our children speaking and writing perfect English.

In order for the students to be able to function equally well in Israeli society and pass the Bagrut and other State tests, all terms in math and science will be taught in both Hebrew and English.

Top teachers will be selected with high qualifications. Our educational system will fully embrace all aspects that modern technology has to offer.

  1. I taught in a school in South America for many years that billed itself as 100% English speaking "full immersion". However, it became clear as the years went on that in order to achieve well in that country's version of the bagrut and to understand the terminology used, it was not possible to continue with English in the upper grades. Our peshara was to use English exclusively through 6th grade by which time the kids had a solid grounding in English, and then to teach Math, Science etc. only in Spanish from grade 7 and up to prepare the students for the tests with time. Attempting to teach in 2 languages simultaneously will, IMHO, prove to be ineffective and frustrating to all.

  2. What you say makes sense. Possibly a good compromise would be to teach subjects such as math and science in Ivrit after 6th grade.
